In the lead up to Christmas, we’re pulling out all the stops. There’s loads of demand for second hand surfboards, with girlfriends/boyfriends, Mothers/Fathers, friends/colleagues all scrounging around online, and in the surf shops of Dublin, searching for the best surfboard prices and package deals out there. Surf Merchant has ‘em!

Always responsive to what Irish surfers are telling us & adaptable in surfboard sourcing, we’re amped to announce that there are limited numbers of used 6’0″ retro fish surfboards available for sale now. These boards have barely dipped their toe in the water – they are as good as new.

The price however is very much of the second hand variety; You can grab yourself the fish surfboard, fcs fins, hurricane board bad, hurricane leash and sticky bumps wax, all for just €379 (r.r.p. €500+). Plenty more information on this blog, and at our video guide. View the main site for a 3D view on the boards and for our contact details and location. Look forward to making your Christmas that bit merrier!

We’ve music streaming into Surf Merchant from all over the sphere. Sometimes we crank it up with some Australian triple J radio. At others, 5fm direct from the Mother City – Cape Town, South Africa – is right on cue. That said, the Irish have a knack for tapping a beat, and our very own Dublin-based Phantom FM lays down some fresh tracks. Not only are they a progressive bunch of melodists, playing a set that diverges far from the mainstream top 40, they keep a close ear to the ground for gigs, events, even the odd job! Still, a Dublin surf report seemed to be pushing the boundaries! “Screw it, Let’s do it!” they cried, with typical Branson-brass. Quirky and novel, we dig the idea. It even inspired us to tweet about Surf Seeds!
